In his preliminary hearings to state prosecutors Abdullah Ocalan made the following comments as reported in Turkish by NTV (20/2/99);
Greece supplied the diplomatic Greek Cypriot passport which was found on his person at the time of his arrest.
Greek secret service agents accompanied him to the Greek embassy in Kenya.
Greece had supported PKK for years. Specifically;
Greek Army Officers trained PKK militants guirella warfare and explosives at Base Lavrion. Supplied rifles and missiles.
Admitted he masterminded almost all the attacks but blamed the May 25, 1993 attack where 33 unarmed military conscripts were executed on a rogue commander (Semdin Sakik). This action had efectively ended a cease fire and any possibility of negotians.
