Other Army plans would add thousands more, who could cross into Kosovo if needed to establish order. Despite the secrecy of the battle plan, now pushed back to October 27 at the earliest, Serbian leader Slobodan Milosevic may have been tipped in advance. A Greek official assigned to NATO headquarters was caught faxing to Athens sensitive details of NATO's plans for attacking Serbia. Then, "the Greeks passed everything to Milosevic," says one NATO official. Greece and Serbia, both Christian countries, share a historical antagonism toward Muslim neighbors such as the Albanians in Kosovo.
