Armenian Net Aggression :(
The Azeri netizens wanted to add to the multicultural mosaic of the internet news groups by adding their own soc.culture.azerbaijan. So to achieve this they went by the book and obeyed the various net etiquete on having a open voting conducted by a impartial third party. The trick was anybody could vote and if the YES votes outnumber the NO votes by 2/3 the news group would come into being and get distributed all around the world and as a result become easily accesible.
Today there are more then 23 thousand news groups some local most worldwide representing almost any field of interest and every country and ethnic group. However Armenians similiar to their spamming and attacks on soc.culture.turkish have this time striked another blow to us, the netizens by doing all they could to silence views they dont like.
The voting resulted in 1732 YES and 920 NO votes, failing 2/3 test. You may wonder how could one blame this on Armenian fanatics? Well simple, because the same system that requires 2/3 majoirty also requires open ballots so you can see who voted and belive me as you can see below almost all the NOs were from Armenians.
We would have prefered the creation of this moderated list as a venue for informing people of Azeri events as well a level-headed discussions forum for Azeri-Armenian conflicts.
Here are the anti-freedom-of speech nay sayers.
Here is the message from the 3rd party vote counter together with the explanation of what the group was for;
